Recommendations for "rainproof" oversuit?

  1. If you'd come round here and done that the gallant Karen could have
held your head while you vomited as well.

Aren't teenagers strange creatures? I've only just got the last couple
    of stragglers to go home.

I didn't vomit, I just startred sneezing and didn't stop until about
half an hour ago, when I had a stupidly hot bath, which seems to have at
    least temporarily done the trick.
Didn't the "if you stay you do housework" routine see them off?

Not hardly, I was disturbed to begin with.
    Mostly when you sleep.

  5. No :( They pottered about and did things. Apart from the cobwebs on
the ceiling you can barely tell anything happened.

I prefer a 2 piece for fit & function. I have the reverse problem to Verdi:
if I find a 1 piece to fit my 32" inside legs then the body/arms will be
too long. Also, I can use the bottoms separately over leather trousers if I
decide to wear a cordura jacket.
Yes. I like the Belstaff stuff. Not sure if the new owners make nylon
waterproofs now. I'm still using the original jacket purchased in the mid
1990s. As the trousers get used more often I'm onto the third pair, which
is another advantage of a 2 piece.

For a lot of years, I've used a textile waterproof jacket and leather
trizers, with waterproof trizers tucked away somewhere handy in case of
actual precipitation. No leaks, no bother.

I've got an old daylo yellow HG suit i bought in 2000 and it's always kept
the rain out. I was looking for a replacement this year and decided the
Spada one was better but never got round to getting one.

    Cane says...
The one I was wearing at Mallory Park was a 40 quid Hein Gericke one. I
got home dry as a bone after 150 miles of torrential rain, Tori was
soaked to the skin because her Dainese kit leaked like a sieve.

There are some Akito Hurricane suits out there at decent money, they are
very similar in construction and fit to the HG one I have. I'm told by
one of my ex-colleagues that they work just as well, though I haven't
yet tried the one I have sitting on top of my wardrobe for myself.

The Akito one folds down into it's own built in bumbag, the HG doesn't
have the bumbag facility, just a drawstring bag that will fit under the
seat of a Gixer easily. I got the Akito one because the Daytona doesn't
have room under the seat for a hamster to lay flat in, let alone a rain
    suit.

I have an Akito two piece suit I put on over my leathers if a track day
or hill climb gets really wet. Can't comment on resistance to hours of
rain but it seems pretty good however heavy the rain is. A bit sweaty
though. They pack down reasonably small.

For long distance use without need for warmth (over two piece leathers)
I use a thin Alpinestars jacket and Dainese, gortex, over trousers. V.
good coming back from the Manx they were.

What do you reckon is best for gloves? If I put on my 'waterproof'
Alpinestars so that the cuffs are covered by my jacket they are not too
bad and 'feel' is OK. Otherwise it has to be full Rukka waterproof over
mits. As to boots, the Prexport 'rain' boots are OK for a reasonable
time but if it looks like hours of monsoon the Furygan 'spats' go on.
