I have recently purchased a bike with very little history. Whilst I
have contacted the DVLA and paid £5 to receive names+addresses of
original owners (to contact to try and receive any other info about
the bike) does anyone know if it is possible to receive duplicates of
old MOT certificates (so I can confirm mileage etc)?

I could also pay £50 to do an Hpi, but I have seen a fairly recent HPi
    with the all clear.

    Thanks in advance

No idea, but if you've already bought the bike, what could you find
out that would be of any use / interest ?

I would have thought it was a better idea to spend the money on a
service and assume that the mileage is correct ?

I just found out that it does appear to be possible. In terms of why
I want to find out, just for peace of mind and also for resale value
    too proving mileage etc.
