That must be in the post-graduate course. To get into it, you have to pass the
beginner's course. Obviously, I did not.

Personal experience suggests that may very well be the case. Be careful,
    dragging those pegs!

Also the faster you push the bar, the less clearance you need. Did you
really bang the bar Hank? Maybe you should try going a little deeper
and really pounding that bar to stop scraping....Just a thought.

Part of trusting the machine is ensuring that the maintenance is
competent and complete. A poorly maintained machine is an invitation
to very bad things. Good tires, properly tightened bolts all around,
clean oil. Treat your baby right.

If I recall correctly from taking an MSF class, I *think* they told us
on a decreasing radius turn (getting tighter, or 'sharper') when you
find yourself going too fast, to hold steady throttle (I *think* it was
because chopping the throttle suddenly would "destabilize the suspension
and change the traction available to your tires"

‘‘I wonder if he meant rolling off the throttle would be the same as
    braking?

    Actually, to quote:

"Because this test is based on Science, you may discover that you are
riding the wrong motorcycle right now. If this happens, you must trust
the test results and and [sic] sell your bike as soon as possible, or
else your life will undoubtedly be miserable."

So it truly appears that Andrew is fucked. Hey Andrew, can I have
your Speed Triple, now that you have to get rid of it?

I've been practicing dragging the foot pegs smoothly on the Valk,
and came into a left curve a bit too fast the other day. I looked at the
shoulder of the road, because I seemed to be headed there. Hard to
resist looking where you might be riding in a few seconds. Anyways, I
got around the curve without touching the white line, but I went wider
than I'd planned, and it seemed harder than it should have to lean it
down more, and the foot peg never touched. I wonder if leaning it would
have come easier if I had looked towards the center of my lane.

    Howdy Bjay,
I like to have fun with when I ride and I don't ride like
a tentative beginner, but I'm not reckless and I don't take
big risks. Been riding for about 30 years and never wrecked
on the street, although I have had a couple of close calls.
That thought occurred to me too, but the pegs do
touch down well before the engine guard. They serve
as an early warning system. When I feel a foot peg
touch, I definitely don't lean any further. I
also learned that it's important to put the ball
of my foot on the foot peg, or the first thing to
touch the road is the sole of my boot!
