I wonder if he meant rolling off the throttle would be the same as
    braking?

Well if you are destined to lose it on a decreasing radius turn
lowsiding is generally the preferred option.

Well, the thing is, is it would be irresponsible for me to take a chance on
someone (who, perhaps, lacks experience in usenet) reading my message without
realizing that I am a liar, a phony, a fat ass, and a wannabe, who rides a beat
to hell bagger, and wouldn't know countersteering from a countertop.

Someone like that might read my so-called "advice" and then crash.

    That would be tragic.

I have a Radio Shack meter, myself. I think it's a 'Realistic' brand. I'm not
familiar with the humble brand. But then, I am not an expert on electronic
    meters.

Heck, I am not much of an expert on much of anything!

That sounds reasonable, but I certainly don't know. Perhaps there is an MSF
instructor who visits usenet from time to time, and that instructor might be
    able to answer this question.

Wasn't that old codger, Bob Nephets, an MSF instructor? Or was he an MSF
    student?

Perhaps Feral, Vlad, Moldy, or another one of the veteran, seasoned (not to say
grizzled) riders would help us out?

Especially if there is a 300 pound woman standing in the corner, or if the turn
happens to be on a very soggy mud & gravel road, and while gliding through it,
your wheel gets caught in a rut.

Those scenarios are quite rare, and knowing what to do in those situations isn't
something that you canm learn in a class or from a book, is it?

Chapter six, page 147: What to do if you encounter a 300 lb muddy
woman. Or was that a woman standing in 300 lbs of mud? Or was the
whole damn thing in metric? Convert it all to meters and kilograms and
it will make sense, or not.

I'm going to rerun it and see what I'm assigned at night.

    Same bike

    Yamaha YZF R1
You scored 7 moxie, 9 zeal, and -2 pomp!
You're addicted to speed, but have the knowledge and experience to
match. Although you like to win, you don't really care so much about
competing with others as much as competing with yourself.
Your bike is the Yamaha YZF R1. Given how easily the rear wheel on this
beast spins up coming out of turns, it is fortunate that you constantly
work to improve your skills. (I've seen more R1s crash at track days
    than any other bike.)

It was a close decision with the Suzuki GSXR1000, but your personality
seemed a bit more R1-ish. (But hey, I could be wrong. Its only a silly
    test.)

I can barely fit on an R1, or Gixxer 1K. lol..

Man, did that test get me wrong! This is just silly:

Does this mean I have to sell my Hardley Ableson Road Barge?! NEVER!
(I figured on at least getting a V-Strom out of this - an R1? Crazy).

My test said I should ride a Ducati 996... shessh... make that the new
    V4
    Desmosideci and I'll agree...

You scored 8 moxie, 8 zeal, and 6 pomp! You exhibit an overexuberance in
all respects that cannot be satisfied. Your attitude and ego are over
the top, yet you actually have the skills to match. Its infuriating.
People would hate you, but you're too damned nice. You always ride like
its your last day to live, and leave bystanders vaguely aroused.

Your bike is the Ducati 996. Sex on wheels.
How you compared to other people your age and gender...
    99 moxie
    88 zeal
    99 pomp

The trick to that one, I think, is aiming for a high "pomp" score.
Heh. What the hell does he know.

    Question that was omitted:

"What do you do when the pavement turns to gravel while riding your
    750 pound, $20K touring bike?"

    a. Turn around, I might fall down and scratch the paint
    b. Consider I might be riding the wrong bike, but test the traction
    c. Don't turn back unless it turns to dirt
    d. Head right in, it might turn to dirt!
