Someone just mailed me this, could be handy in a 'see if that really was
an Vascar I just overtook at eek mph' way.

Provided it doesn't make the wearer look like a total bumcloud, neat idea.

In combination with mirrors and life saver, could be bloody useful in fact.

  3. I have actually tried one of these cycle helmets and, once
acclimatised to the sight of the images being reflected through the
mirror system (which can be a little disorientating at first -
although I think the one I tried was a prototype, because the surface
of the mirror was not as flat as it perhaps should be)it really does
work quite well. It would certainly be useful on those bikes where the
fitted mirrors are useful only for counting the number of bug-strikes
    on your elbows :)

I like the idea but I wonder how it'll cope at 100mph plus, what with a bit
    of buffeting etc.

Plus I should imagine if the sun was behind you at the wrong angle it
could be a bit of a ball (well eye) ache. It's not like it's going to
have a dipper like car mirrors have is it?

"rod dyno" <> spouted the following in

You prolly don't need to worry too much about what's behind you at that
speed.... unless it's the cops of course ;-)

I was coming back from the EOSM bopping down the A515 at about the ton as
you do and pulled out to overtake a couple of cars, the next thing I know
there's a *beeeeeeep* behind me as a couple of R1s and RSVs pass me doing a
good 30mph faster. Fair made me jump it did. Don't think they were too
    impressed either.

mups fascinated us all by saying...
You don't use mirrors or shoulder checks then?

No, that was the point. I didn't think that anything would be going faster
but it was. Crap riding on my part I agree.

Or if you had a large breasted girl on the back, that'd be a problem.
