Rear disk is stuck

So much for a relaxing weekend. I went to change the rear disk on my FJ1200
this morning and two of the bolts holding the old disk on are jammed, the
rest came off okay with a bit of CRC and some effort and swearing. I got a
bit heavy handed with one of them and now the allen key type head is stuffed
(or at least very close to it). Anyone got any suggestions on how to remove
it, or get the other one off. I've heard of people who drill out bolts that
are stuck but the last thing I want to do is stuff the thread where the bolt
    connects to the wheel.

Use a hacksaw, and cut a decent sized slot across the head of the screw - then
use a flat bladed screwdriver instead of an allen key.

If you're really game, you could try and cut a cross so you can use a posidrive
or big phillips, but you have to be dead sure of your angles.

If the head is sitting proud of the disc you can cut a slot in it. But if the
head is almost level with the disc, such as a countersunk screw, you can put the
allen key in the damaged hole, then hammer a centre punch near each flat around
the key. This will close the hole up tightly around the key. Then heat the thing
    and give it another go.

  15. I don't see how "spraying" it will help...

  16. I hear the "spraying substance" has some quite useful "lubricating
    properties"...

Thats a hell of a size limit you've got down there in Cantberra! I mean
I can understand Pat being "undersized", but me???

Size limits aren't based on weight Big, they're all nose-to-tail measurements. ;-)
