REALLY waterproof gloves?

Does anyone know of any glove brand/model that is really waterproof?
I've tried some gloves that claim to be waterproof, but they are all
useless and let in water after a short time in the rain. And no, it's
not water leaking in through the cuff of the glove - I wear gloves
    inside sleeves when it rains.

I have waterproof Alpinestars SMX GoreTex boots that work really well
and keep me dry even in serious downpours, but for some reason I
haven't been able to find decent waterproof gloves...

p.s. Yeah, I'm cross-posting to uk.rec.motorcycles since Brits seem to
know a lot about the whole wet weather thing.

I bought kayaker's paddling gloves, neoprene and prehsaped for handlebars
    (or paddles).

Try a ski shop. Those guys have stuff that really keeps you dry.

My RST gloves have been waterproof for seven months. To clean them
inside I filled them up with water and the water didn't leak out.

They are also BGN Road Surface Abrasion Tested(tm)

  8. Trouble with most ski gloves is that few of them really allow fingers
enough movement. But, yes, there are some very warm ones. Waterproof?
    Dunno....

I've never found decent waterproof gloves. Bar muffs will keep your
    hands dry.

Dainese Antarctic Gore-tex gloves have been totally waterproof for me,
but I suspect anything with a waterproof liner and double cuff (one
inside sleeve, one outside) will do the trick.

My hands always get quite damp in muffs. Maybe you're doing something wrong.

  18. I had Hein Gerick waterproof gloves. IIRC they guarantee them so for 1
year from purchase, a friend bought a pair that leaked[1] and they
were replaced no questions. Even after more than a year mine were
pretty good, might get a bit damp after several hours of continuous
    rain.

[1] Hole in the seam so a real fault.
