OK, so substitute your favorite bike. Would you rather
spend 16K on the Chief, or the new bike of your choice?

For similar money, would you rather buy this:

    or buy this:

I just don't understand the attraction of this 75+ year old motorcycle.
Sure, it may appreciate, but to me, it looks like just a bucket of junk.

Send the sites to Jay Leno.
Guys like him collect buckets of anything

You know he has a ''Jet Bike''.

Whats awful, 16K will barely buy a un-Chromed Harley. But will buy an
S11300, an 06 fully covered plastic Barge,
FJR, good ''down payment'' on a Screeming Eagle VRod, and oh yeah, a
    ''new'' goodlooking Royal Venture.
How many fools around here, are there.

The folks that would buy that bike most likely have no trouble buying more
and whatever they want. It is not an either or situation.I would like to
have it, but I can't afford it or more. I really like those flathead Indians
and Harleys. They aint worth a shit for riding like new bikes are,
    but................

When I finally get around to buying a 1993 Ducati Supermono, I will
thank the collector who kept it perfecty pristine, in dry storage, as
a work of art for many years. I will be grateful and appreciative of
his long years of fine stewardship.

And then I will gas that old girl up, lever new tires on those old
rims, change the oil, trailer her up to Summit Point, and...

    LET 'ER RIP!
