Reading-ish spanner monkeys?

    It is.

    All I'd add is: clean up the pin that retains the pads - it can get
    quite corroded, and the pads should slide along it as they wear, not
    stick and twist [1]. I've been known to give the pins a light
    emery-ing, and I always put a reasonable amount of copper grease on
    them.

    If they're very badly corroded, it's worth replacing them - they're
    not too expensive.

    Yes, it was once I dropped the caliper off. I had no idea there was an
    R clip behind there !

    All done, pistons polished, all copper eased.

    Just had the fairing off too to drop the oil. Fwck me, it's a bitch. It
    went on a lot easier than it came off .. :)
