Nothing. My Bandit 12 has 145 rear wheel horsepower, a Kwak 7R front end
and a 996 rear end. By the standards of a ZX10 or a Gixxer thou its
    still mild.

ROTFLMAO, again. Another dumbass Britiot that doesn't grasp the
concept that it ain't the fucking bike, it's the rider. So, Mr. 145
rwhp, how many races have you won with your homebuilt? How many
championships? How many two week, 8,000 miles tours have you done on
it? You idjuts are at least good for laffs!

Fifty grand and you still get stuck with truck handling. I'm going to

Would that make a difference on a Harley?

    <slaps forehead>

Of *course* it would. The warm up lap's the one where the bits vibrate
off, thus lowering the CofG, right?

I'm not so sure about the limitations. I didn't see it myself, but a
local is said to have managed Jamison Creek Road with his arms folded
    across his chest.

Jamison Creek Rd definitely qualifies as the twisties, and may
    transcend "Basic" -- http://tinyurl.com/as9b3
If they spot you doing this in the twisties, they'll follow you until
you fall off, then write you a ticket. If you successfully avoid
running off the road, they'll pull you over on a striaght stretch.
Don't ask me how I know...

-- or countersteer. Actually, the contact patch doesn't change shape
much until the lean angle gets pretty large. The force causing the
turn is gravity. Motorcyclists normally make what pilots refer to as
coordinated turns. If your weight seems to be pressing you straight
into the seat, you're making a coordinated turn, and the turn would be
the same regardless of the shape of the contact patch.
Imagine hitting an 18 lb seagull with one shoulder. That would be an
example of badly placed weight causing a turn. The resulting turn
would be a good example of an uncoordinated turn unless you have
    remarkable skills.

    Who cares?

    <Punches air>

    Yes! Yes! Yessssssssss!

    Made the magic grand!

I would like to thank all of those posters who have helped to make this
the last Great Thread of 2005.

Who would have thought that, when I dropped that ancient piece of
antiquarian bait into UKRM and Reekie, it would have risen to the dizzy
heights of one thousand posts to UKRM? (I count this as a higher honour
than a thousand Reekie posts which can be achieved with a simple "Texas
    is full of girlie-men" troll)

I thank you, ladies, gentleman and others.

    Now: ENOUGH ALREADY! <G>

  17. It's the internet you useless stupid thick ****.

Anyone can be anyone or anything they want to be.

For instance, useless assholes like you on Gixxed-out Thous can
suddenly find that they're talking to someone who has won motorcycle
road races and championships and actually knows how to properly ride a
motorcycle (regardless of the brand or style) and then you suddenly
remember that you're the useless posing **** that you actually are and
    always have been.

Hey, I know: maybe you ought to put a ZX7R front-end and a Bandit 1200
motor in that poser bike of yours, and then you'll really have
    something to brag about.

It's worked for other idiots on ukrm! All of whom are convinced that
by the magic of having the "right" bike suddenly they're SUPER RIDER!

Heh. Who the **** did you think "Gary R." was, anyway?

    Gary?

    Gary R. ... or is it?, Dec 21, 2005
  18. Well, Ben, that was "It's the rider, not the bike," but the theory
certainly holds true for the above. Completely consistent with the
Harley sucking in the idiots on the Gixxed Out Thous. Those fuckers
*could* drive rings around my old truck if they had clue one as to how
to drive, but they don't. So in this case, it *is* the driver, not the
    vehicle.
