The depots have congressional protection (none dare call it pork). Using
Deming and similar methods they have been able to make tremendous
improvements. However similar improvement in acquisition or fielded forces
    are harder to come by.

Military is serious about process improvement. I have seen a lot more "what
could we do better next time" in the DoD than in industry, and its taken
very seriously. Some of that comes from having lives at risk.

  2. Again, interesting. Ta.

Coo, two coherent Septics in the same thread. It can't be real. I'm now
looking for a winter landscape, a gas lamp standard and a brace of
    talking beavers.

    Cool. I am pleasantly surprised.
Having worked for government I simply assumed that they all just gave
it lip service while making things even worse.

Well, maybe it's partly because I was born in Ilford and live in
    Canada.
I may be able to help with the beavers and I know I have the winter
    landscape right outside the door.

Folks on the pointy end of the spear take "what can we do better next time"
to a whole new level when it's your ass on the line.

Funny, I was just talking after I took that picture about how I would
still be riding if I had a Ural Patrol. :)
Snowmobile suit, mitts, boots and helmet and away we go.

  11. "Black" is now considered an offensive term like negro or colored so
the new one is "African American". Which of course does not mean a
recent African immigrant but someone whose been here 100s of years.

The non-Africans apparently feel left out so "Caucasian" pops up more
and more. Interestingly enough we also have a "Hispanic-Caucasian"
variant. I guess those of spanish ancestry or lillywhite WASPs were
    offended at the co-mingling.

  12. Hanging, firing squad. All used by the Empire against your countrymen
    at one point.

Now that the Euroes have finally learned manners after centuries of
bloodshed and barbarism, they think they can point to the US.

They should think again. We had rights like ages ago. Environmental
laws too. That we're intelligent enough to allow private ownership of
firearms and capital punishment only speaks of our advanced
    civilization.

Unleaded petrol? When did you lads finally put cats on cars? Like
    three weeks ago?

  13. Are you mad? More like a tax free month given the rate of spending on
and by worthless specimens of humanity.

Now a reality show, like Big Brother, only brother is a slobbering
Fendweller with a penchant for buggery and Charles of Wales his
    roomie...

  14. Who fucking cares? Pathetic excuses for your past sins, all the while
    pointing an arrogant finger elsewhere.

Here's an idea... rather than focus your ire on what is going on 3,000
miles away how about you focus on the stink of the sewage in the
    streets of London?

"World events" being sold to the public is the oldest trick of every
rotten government. Show them how bad it is elsewhere and voila... no
more national issues to deal with.

Which is to say the Bush admin has been keen on France's sins
    lately...
Malarkey. You destroyed an entire civilisation and enslaved them into
    opiates.
No. The ruling elites of Europe have government and private security
details which are heavily armed indeed. Same thing, only better cause
    boy can they shoot!

The average **** gets to eat cake insofar as personal security.
Disinterested bobbies the best they can hope for.
    Ummm... that's an accident.

European fans are animals. The intentionally hurt each other. Rarely
does violence go beyond the occasional beer brawl here in the States.

That's because we have the testicular fortitude to intervene and put
an end to it. You lot just look like sheep at the violence before you
    and bleat mercifully.

  15. Waaaaaaaaaaaah what are we to do about those ghettoes?

Remember mocking the US for so many years for hosting them? That's
what happens when you have so many subgroups living together. As a
rule people are xenophobic, greedy and tend to cling to each other
    like like-minded sheep.

One of the reasons why so many masturbatory thoughts about getting
along, peace and harmony and settling our scores through worthless
eurobanter instead of armed conflict is cause most of the EC nations
have a homogenous culture. You don't have scads of subgroups each
creeching for their rights at the expense of everybody else's wrongs.
You still have the patience to deal with their bullshit cause the
majority still gets the job done. No tower of babel nonsense to
    contend with.

But in the end you shall find it's all survival of the fittest. And if
anybody gets any funny ideas about violating the queue, the end of a
    loaded gun.

    Cheers!

And that is, indeed, where the word was coined.

It is, nonetheless a good word.
