Out of interest, I know the Gold Whinge is built in the US.

    What other bikes are?[/QUOTE]

At the moment, in addition to the Gold Barge, they also make the Rune,
VTX1800, VTX1300 and 1100 Sabre at the Marysville, Ohio plant.

Many of the large displacemtn bikes by all manufaturers are built at
least in part in the US

From October to April with minor fluctuations in the temperature for
    exact time of year.

Last time I was there I arrived on Oct 15 and it got cloudy and damp a
    couple opf days later.
I had a cold until it cleared up in md April.
The only real change was that the temperature dropped from 50s to 30s
by mid January and climbed to 50s by mid April.

TQM, TQL, Continuous improvement it's all the same and the main reason
it doesn't work is that the managers seem to think it only applies to
the workers and that it is a way for them to dump responsibility
    without authority.
They can't give up their end of the equation.

Of course, nobody in their right mind would expect it to work in a
    military situation.

The list of people who've been nominated, but not won, is quite illustrious.

    http://volokh.com/posts/1133251081.shtml

But conversely, such known terrorist representatives as Nelson Mandel and
Yasser Arafat have won it in the past, so go figure.

TQM actually made a real difference in the military depots. Combat...don't
    be silly.

Process improvement is a mainstay for the armed forces. You processes are
refined long before combat operations commence.

  8. And then?

No, let's hear this. What is this 17.5% import tax of which you speak?

  9. Yup, fair comment.

    Interesting. Ta.
By "large displacement", I take it you mean "cruisers". Things like Pan
Europeans, FFJR1300s, Gixxer Thous etc are still built in Japan AFAIK.

I think you need to go and have a look at parts of West Yorkshire or
East Lancs if you really believe that statement. They're so well
integrated into the community that they feel the need to go to
Pakistan for a spot of training in how to be a suicide bomber.

PS : You missed Lozzos point by a country mile.
But such an excellent self portrait! Reminds me of the complete look of

there *is* another world out there.

    Invalid comparison.

Of course the second ones going to be larger, its got a much bigger

Not to my knowledge . But that little EX is a Godsend , I've got something
to ride while I'm repairing the Harley . Continental touring tires (or tyres
    , if you're British) and sub-freezing temps aren't a good mix ...
especially when some idiot pulls in front of you and slams on the brakes
    (over $3,000 in damages !) .
Actually the Kwak is a sweet little bike , I've heard that folks have
done Ironbutt rides on them . and believe it . The seating position is very
friendly , and they don't vibrate much at all for a mill that's turning 10k
or so at 75 mph .

  18. I think we got it as the GPZ250, and it was indeed a sweet little bike.
I rode one, but ultimately found it tiring because power started at
about 9000rpm and the amount of gearchanging you had to do to keep it
    moving briskly was extraordinary.

Someone should point out here that, although we do indeed have a
monarchy, there is little or no power in it; the Crown represents the
State, and the person wearing it is largely a figurehead. As I
understand it, ultimate executive power resides at Number 10, Downing
Street, subject to Parliament, a democratically elected position.

Not strictly true. The Queen can use Orders-in-Council to do pretty
much whatever she likes - even overturn high court decisions. She last
did this on local election day in 2004[1] to further shit on the
    ex-residents of Diego Garcia.

[1] A good day to keep things out of the papers.
