I thought Abe-Lincoln refused wages for the President job? Minimalist
state and all that. Did you know that it was an englishman who co-wrote
the Philidelphia constitution that formed the basis of the American
constitution? He used to be a tax collector in Lincolnshire as coincidence
would have it. I believe he fell out of favour and left for France and
    it's more egalitarian revolution...

    Now what was his name?

    Ah yes.

    Thom Payne.

Thomas, actually. Not bad for a chap that failed out of school.

Your anecdotes is the lamest things I've seen in years! LOL

There was a silver car out in the parking lot today leaking coolant.

So for you, that means all silver cars *must* suck huh?

    LOL!

I didn't say they were good sport bikes.
    I don't particularly like them.
The horsepower rating isn't really a factor in sport or not.
My personal choice would be a ZZR1200 for a sport/touring bike.
Just something I like about that bike.
I live too far away from anything remotely twisty to worry about pure
    sport bikes.
    The ZX10 is nice allright.
    Maybe. :)
    He did specify big. :)
That is exactly the market they are going after.
    Adventure touring.
Also add in the Suzuki DL1000, Multistrada, KTM etc.
It fits in that group nicely.
As long as it stays in one piece.

Actually, a group of us have been known to do 600 - 800 miles in a day on
some trips. I personally get approximately 270 miles per tank of fuel
(including my reserve, which accounts for approx 30 + miles). Your
knowledge of HD motorcycles seems to be as lacking as your knowledge of your
    own country's history....sad, that.

  16. Every Harley I've ridden does about 45mpg; less if hammered.

That means either your Harley has a huge aftermarket fuel tank
or you ride at about 45-50mph.

Allowing for stops, etc, to do 800 miles, you'd need to spend 20 hours
    in the saddle.

If you manage that, big respect. If you say you go at a decent speed
(say 70-80mph cruise), have a stock tank, and still get 270 miles to a
tank then, frankly, I won't believe it.

BMW riders are prone to this sort of tall story telling, as well.
