How could you tell it apart from the rest of Carlisle?

The big twin HD starts at $15,809 Cdn.
The Fat Boy is $21,459 with carb
The closest competitors are the Yamaha Road Star (you have a different
name for it) and the Kawasaki Vulcan Classic
The Vulcan Classic is $15,299 with the Mean Streak version $16,299
The Road Star is $15,499 with the Warrior version at $17,999

In terms of looks the Japanese bikes are closer to the Fat Boy
although a lot of the parts that make them look like that are lower
quality. The Road Star is a soft tail style bike while the Vulcan is a
    standard shock style.
The Fat Boy has a lot more chrome and real steel parts compared to the
Japanese models. The basic HD FXD model is close enough in price that
I nad no problem deciding which to get in spite of the price spread
    being more 2 years ago.
The US dollar has shrunk considerably against the Cdn dollar since
    then.

Often, the innovation is "borrowed" saving them much in the way of R
and D. The main innovation involves figuring out how to make the same
piece less expensively and with greater quality control.

You what? Maybe going that fast on a Hardly takes concentration,
presumably ços you keep having to look behind you to see what's fallen
off next, but on most vaguely modern bikes you could ride with one
hand and roll a fag with the other at that speed, while watching the
birds in the cars you're overtaking and having your cock attended to
by the girlfriend who's reaching around from behind.
Leisurely? That's not leisurely, that's practically stopped.
WTF? Sounds like a problem with the riding position to me. Get yerself
on a gixxer or summat else vaguely comfortable.

[1] or leasurely, for that matter

Harley also owns Buell which has several sport bikes.
They also make the Ulysses, a large trail/dual sport bike.
Not many manufacturers make a super moto which is really just a dirt
    bike with street tyres.
The smallest learner bike is the 500cc Buell Blast, not that I would
    ever recommend it.
I own an FXD which is more standard than cruiser as are many of the
    sportsters.

Harley (or was it AMF? I forget) owned Aermacchi and imported the
smaller bikes into the US, rebadged as HDs.

In the mid 70s AMF owned Harley and nearly ruined the company.

    No one can't:

"The longest straight-line distance in a general north-south direction
is 801 miles from the northwest corner of the Panhandle to the extreme
southern tip of Texas on the Rio Grande below Brownsville. The greatest
east-west distance is 773 miles from the extreme eastward bend in the
Sabine River in Newton County to the extreme western bulge of the Rio
    Grande just above El Paso."

DR emerged from their own little world to say
It all looked pretty normal to me.

You have to bear in mind that it was c1974 and I was a 12 year old country
boy. My only points of reference for things urban were occasional visits to
    Newport, Gwent and Hereford.

One has forgotten to factor in the shite comfort and fuel range factors and
possible breakdown ratio.. Once applied, I think thou shalt find that it'll
