Oh well I've got to the bottom of my no fuel problem.
I got a compression gauge and found no compression
so off came the head and barrel and what should I find.
Both piston rings seized tight into piston and quite bad
scouring on piston and in the barrel.

It would seem that it failed on the run or had been failing
for somtime before but due to the heat of the engine and
oil sealing it there was enough suction to get fuel to the
chamber. Once cold and unlubed the compression / suction
was not enough to suck fuel in.

Oh Hum looks like I'll be looking at a bigger bill to get it
    back running again.
At least the fault has been found and I now know what
    to do to repair it.
