I've recently acquired a '79 RD250 and am looking to restore it. Does
anyone kow what paint options were available on that bike please?

I'd really like to do it in Kenny Roberts yellow, but the only ones can
find so far seem to be either blue or silver. Was the yellow colour
available for that bike? Ooh - just found this
    http://www.aircooledrdclub.co.uk/forum/pa_display.asp?nID=828, looks
nice - was that colour available in '79?

Anyone know of any other good sources of info for restoration please?

    TIA

    1. There's no such thing as an RD 250 DX.
    2. A 1979 would be an F (I think), not a D.

White, silver, yellow & black for the F, afaik.

  3. The yellow in question was Competition Yellow. If it was a 79 model it
would have been an E or an F model. The E model had normal levers and
the F had dog leg levers. I suppose it could have been a late
registered DX model though. if you like these bikes, check out www.seemar.com
