The buffet service on the Wing was more than adequate over the
    weekend. Apart from the humbugs.

Bah. I managed to assault the battery on Monday, and went home by other
    means.

    I heard. Diagnosis pending?

When mine played up - it turned out to be shitty connections at the
    battery terminals.

Well, I cleaned them up, and it's been faultless for a year since.

We got an AA man to jumpstart it. It ticked over for a couple of minutes
and then died. He restarted it and checked the voltage while I revved it.
Steady 8v was what it looked like. I would have preferred a charge.

Anyway, the battery is currently hooked up to the electron infuser. I'd
have had a go this evening, but I got home from work quite late.

I fucking hope it's just dirty terminals.

You can probably remove the alternator on the CBX without removing the
    engine.

  12. Hmmm, if I could get it in the shed I'd keep it.
    Erk and more erk
I leave *that* habit to other more qualified people of this NG like DFVs and
    the resident Gays...

    You're a star.
If you still have my mobile number txt me to let me know when and I'll
ensure the kettle is on and I'm in.
Otherwise deposit it in the tin box at the rear between the two cottages.

    Many thanks

I'm talking about your CBX, which has a camchain tunnel and a
    pingfuckit-rich top end.
I probably ought to inspect mine sometime.

    Two things really;
1.Rain, in pockets, *on a Wing!* How's that work then?
    2. I know we had a converstion 'bout phones, but in the spririt of improving
Sirs communication experience, phone numbers programmed into a phone tend
not to go the way of Humbugs[1] & paper.

    [1] Bah

    Maybe next time mate.

It was *very wet* and I was going all slow and everything.

    Two things I noticed:

    1. there's a footpath up the side of the A5 - I couldn't see it at
night - I don't know how close I must have come to clipping the kerb
    2. The screen on the Wing "lights up" from underneath - I suppose
stray light from the headlamps catches the perspex "edge-on", iyswim -
it was like sitting behind a giant HUD, with no data on it.
Oh, they are in the 'phone *now*.

Camchain, I wish. I've been told the primary chain is on its way out on
    the FJ :-(

Andy, how long has it rattled for ? 'da man' reckons it should rattle
for another 20K miles or so !
