Bah. I managed to assault the battery on Monday, and went home by other
means.

 

I heard. Diagnosis pending?

When mine played up - it turned out to be shitty connections at the
battery terminals.

Well, I cleaned them up, and it's been faultless for a year since.

We got an AA man to jumpstart it. It ticked over for a couple of minutes
and then died. He restarted it and checked the voltage while I revved it.
Steady 8v was what it looked like. I would have preferred a charge.

Anyway, the battery is currently hooked up to the electron infuser. I'd
have had a go this evening, but I got home from work quite late.

I fucking hope it's just dirty terminals.

 

so do I, cos that sounds like the CBX on the way back from Chimay.

You can probably remove the alternator on the CBX without removing the
engine.

 

You can on a proper Wing, too.

I'm talking about your CBX, which has a camchain tunnel and a

It was *very wet* and I was going all slow and everything.

Two things I noticed:

1. there's a footpath up the side of the A5 - I couldn't see it at
night - I don't know how close I must have come to clipping the kerb
2. The screen on the Wing "lights up" from underneath - I suppose
stray light from the headlamps catches the perspex "edge-on", iyswim -
it was like sitting behind a giant HUD, with no data on it.

Oh, they are in the 'phone *now*.
