What is it with this company?

They bought Mitchell and Partners who were just find and dandy. But
    MasterQuote seem to be fuckwits.

    Cases in point:

    1. Sidecar.
"Sorry sir, that's your fifth bike we can't extend the policy"
So... ok, I'll take out a new one.
"when did you purchase the bike"
not yet, I'll buy it on the day the insurance starts.

Fast forward a week, I get a letter asking for the registration number
and threatening to cancel the policy if they don't get it. The
registration number was on the policy...

Phone them, hold for some time, eventually speak to someone and they
explain that what they want is a copy of the registration certificate.
I explain that since I've just purchased the bike I don't have this.
They accept this and say "well just forward it when you get it" and
promise to put a 'note on my file'.

One week passes. Same letter of threats received. Same phone call
    occurs.

A further week passes and I receive both the registration certificate
and a third threatening letter. Check the registration certificate and
it makes no mention of the sidecar. Phone MQ and tell them I'm
re-registering as a sidecar, offer to send a copy of the certificate,
they say "no it's OK, we'll put a note on your file".

A further week passes and I relieve another threatening letter. Phone
them telling them I'm rather bored. They put a note on my file.

Then... this saturday I receive both the registration certificate *and*
a notice of cancellation. Phone them and they say, "just send us the
copy and don't worry about it. We'll... put a note on your file.

    *sigh*

    2. Swapping bikes on the other policy.

Phoned three times on Monday, they promised to get back.

Phoned once on Tuesday, again they promised to get back.

God I'm pissed off with this. I'm not going back to Nash; long story
but they are not getting my business. So who else does decent
multi-bike policies? Ideally one that would let me have a half dozen or
so on a single policy... and cheap, less than 150 quid TPF&T seems fair.

I used Profile Insurance for the RD and errm, still the Turbo, it's one
    of these:

    http://www.profileinsurance.co.uk/
    http://www.profile-insurance.co.uk/index.htm

I'm at work and don't have the phone details to hand - I got the RD on
Fully Comp for 115 and added the Turbo for a tenner I think.

Ginge might have the number as he originally gave me their details.

I used confused.com for my car insurance, and it came up trumps. I
also used it to trawl for multi-bike quotes, and again it came up with
a good deal, although Auntie Carole did beat it (just).

Can't remember the name of the insco. MCE? MDE? Something like that.
    Have a go yourself.

I know the alarm business wasn't good but in all my dealings with them
they've been spot on. I didn't even get unduly hammered for a six week
    ban.

    .....

So, being middle aged, middle class and English I wrote a letter of
    complaint to the CEO.

In return I got a full investigation (documented over two pages), an
apology and 20 squids worth of M&S vouchers.

So, I guess I'm now a content customer again.

At least you don't have to use those vouchers in *their* store.

I was going to do something similar with Tesco. However, the fuckers will
only send me £15 of Tesco vouchers...
