I need to get a ramp so that I can put my bike in the back of my ute.

Does anyone know where to go to get one?

Whipps Alloy in Windsor, Sydney have a wide selection of ramps and a good
    postal service.

I have a foldup ramp that fits across the back seat of my dual cab ute.

My plank cost me $5 from the building recyclers.

And it's spelt 2.4 by 200 x 50 Giving the length in metres, then the
width in mm, then the thickness in mm.

    Having just paid $13.80 for a piece of 2.4 x 70 x 35, I want to know
which Bunnings you went to. Bet it wasn't the one I visited.

Do you have a local HOGS? They'll have plenty, but they might all be in use
    (assuming the weather is fine).

You could try "Stacks O' Ramps" out on the highway or maybe "Ramps 'R' Us" on Royal Pde.
Maybe "Ramp-o-rama" on the southside or even "Ready Ramps"!
Don't bother with "The Ramp Guys" 'cause they're mainly wholesale but "Ezy Ramp" are pretty reliable.
"ABC Ramps" and "Speedie Ramps" are just re-sellers for "The Ramp Warehouse" but "Clamps, Lamps and Ramps"
might be of some use (although I wouldn't buy clamps or lamps there!)....
If you're over near Charlotte Street you could try "Charlotte Rampling" (if you just want a small ramp... as
a matter o fact I'm getting a small ramp just thinking about it!) or if you want to support the pink economy
you could try "Ramps for Camps" (but I'd stay away from that macho shop; "Rampo").

Do you want my advice on planks?

That's what was written on the shelf! ;-)
Tuggeranong. They still have a bit of competition here in Canberra,
but only from the building and landscaping supplies places.
Agreed. That "We'll beat any competitor's price by 10%" apparently
doesn't apply to Ern Smith Building Supplies, because clearly I'm
buying from them "at the wholesale rate". For $200 worth of timber?
    Bullshit!

Seems you don't know if you have a secure job nowadays unless the threat of
    redundancy is hanging over you.

Luckily Michelle went off to have a spa-bath so I didn't have to explain why I suddenly burst into laughter!!
    Clem
(You see; I made this post about a lot of fictitious ramp places... no RAMP .. like a ramp that you ramp
with ... yes well then Postman Pat said "plank"... Like "plonk" but plank=ramp you see? No no; not plonk
like plonk-plonk; more plonk like "Kiwipete you're plonked"... No; I don't know what Kiwipete is doing at the
    moment ......)
