  3. Did anyone else get caught in it? In all the years I've had a driving
licence, I've known nothing like it.

And it's even better now it has a decent cd player and speakers. I
don't even bother to pull that fuse anymore, I mean, it's not like the
    electrics don't work properly. :)

My opinion of french cars remains unchanged.(1)

(1)It's a car FFS, who cares who made it.

Milton Keynes area was shite tonight, my jacket that has never leaked
did, it was bloody awful weather.
    ..
However it did wash the flies off.

Excellent wasn't it. I've not had so much fun in ages flying through all
the deep puddles that the cages were creeping through.
On the down side, my Sidi Black Rain Evo waterproof boots are now
leaking. This is the 5th? pair I've had in 3 years, and all of them have
leaked. I've given up getting them sent back to Ferridax now(1) and will
    just buy something else.

(1)Ferridax have been very good, and replaced them every time with a new
    pair.

  9. There's no such thing as awful weather; just the wrong clothing [1]
    Rain rocks.

  10. It was good fun. I was ogling the impromptu wet T-shirt contests as well
    :)
Hein Gericke Gore-tex stuff. I had to make a diversion to go home and
get them as my others were squelching and I'm glad I did.

  11. I saw the flood thing today at one of our accounts. There I was, writing
me sheets out and the rain was coming down so heavily, it overwhelmed
the drain and flooded in; right where they'd stored a load of boxes that
contained what looked like very expensive electrical gear.
I had to buy a Bering jacket today as my jacket of choice is now
technically knackered. I had water running down the inside of my sleeves
    as well.

Lesson learned: when the Beeb says it's going to rain, listen!

  12. We've had one or two light showers but no thunder or lightning. Don't
understand what all the fuss is about.

Cannon St was mayhem @ 6pm. Station closed, and half of LUL up shit
creek without a paddle, by all accounts.

Got home, having been hit by around half a dozen raindrops.

Whereupon, I fitted my new fuel tap to the KH, and stuck £4 of
    unleaded in it.

    Wahey!

Sorry about that. My fault. I had a new rear tyre fitted to the 550 today.

Same thing happened last time too. A good week or two of unbroken sunshine
ruined by my CB200 getting new rubber.

The North Circular at Stonebridge Park was under alot of water. The
police closed it just as I was approaching, so I managed to duck down
that road that runs parallel towards the Ace Cafe, then make my way home
via Alperton/Harrow/Watford/M1. It was awful, Harrow Weald High Street
was under almost 2 foot of water, with manhole covers blowing out.
