Racing - Mallory Park, Sunday 20th May

It's my time of the month again and this month I'll be
at Mallory Park on sunday. Practice starts at 9.30am,
then qualifying before racing starts around 11.30am.

I'll be in the Ducati Desmo Due champion, Class A,
riding bike #111, so come and find me in the pits and
say hello and you may even get a cuppa. My pit bitch
is busy sunning himself in Italy right now, so any help
to keep my spanners warm is welcome.

Results to follow for those that can't be arsed to come.

 

I'll probably be able to pop along for some of it. Mallory is one of
those tracks you can't get out of once you're inside though, isn't it?

 

IIRC there is a footbridge near the start line.

 

Ah yes, forgot you were just up the road.

Mallory pit access is across the track, so once you're in
you can't get out and vice versa, but pedestrian access is
via the bridge over the start/finish straight as Old Grey says.

I may even have a spare ticket for you.

 

OK, sounds good. I'm thinking I should probably come down in the car,
park it outside the track and bring my camera along to see if I can grab
a few decent shots...

Can you ask them to re-schedule it for next week? I can make it then.

I was vaguely tempted to pop up (in the car), until I checked the
weather forecast.

Hmm. I _might_ just stay home and watch the motogp instead of getting
rained on.

 

Yeah, I think it's going to be pretty shitty, but at least
that works in my favour!
