I think I spent more time in his killfile than Des ever managed which
gives you a clue as to his feelings towards me.

I think facebook and Bear were made for each other and my opinion of
facebook is well documented.

 

I wasn't trying to claim I was unique.

 

I believe I spent a considerable amount of time alongside you in there, but
I *am* surprised about your habitatin there.

It's known as "FookBook" at our place, coz it's a fooking nightmare. Trouble
is, it's almost a necessity these days, so I'm on there but I'm definitely
not a regular user.

Don't you understand the need for social networking?

 

No, but that's been established before. It's just the new development
of *having* to be on there, especially if it's a fooking nightmare.

 

Facebook is only as much use as FriendsReunited etc. - i.e. an attempt
by sad-sacks to "hook up" with and **** birds they used to fancy years
ago.

The only "social networking" site I use much at all is LinkedIn - and
it's still pretty shit, and I only use it because it's getting me a
lot of cold-call job discussions with agents, such as the bizarre
interview I have this afternoon with some Hedge Fund I'd never
previously heard of, and they must be on some sort of serious drugs to
think the CV of mine they've seen (of course, i have more than one) is
in any way a match for the job spec they sent me. Still, it's a day
out, if nothing else.

And back to Facebook, I have a "secret" account, subscribed to the
ukrm group; I can't recall the last time I logged into it, but it's
got to be at least 3 months ago. Doesn't stop me getting "friend
requests" from people who I know I've not told my "special name" to
(though then again, it could be deduced easily enough - though I
suspect some of those wanting to be my "friend" simply want "more
friends").

 

Well you know how it goes. There was probably a woman at the bottom of it.
