After having a good chuckle about Flash's experience with the Sheep, it bought back memories of my mate being "hit" by an animal. Picture the scene. Out on the bikes, glorious warm sunny day, he is leading, and we are winding around a nice twisty countryfied road through the Avon Causeway in Christchurch. Suddenly, up ahead a BIG bird of Prey loams, flapping his wings just got airborne, his flight path in the line of travel of our bikes. Bird of Prey is struggling to get any lift, and with us approaching, its a "get outta the way" moment Bird of Prey must have had a panic on, and decides the only way he can avoid a head-on, is......... to release his catch from his talons!!! Yep, he drops his prized rabbit, which lands directly on top of my mates helmet!!! I am in disbelief as bird of Prey makes it, and my mate Geoff has a nice furry rabbit now stuck to the top of his helmet, its limbs twitching, and fur and muck everywhere!!! I pull over to the side, my sides splitting with laughter, amazed that Geoff never crashed. Totally messed his helmet up, and his wife didn't even believe him!
