I've been riding a BMW 1150 GS for 5 years, like the bike, but never could
get used to the gear box ALWAYS missing gearchanges and I took a lot of wind
    blast on it on motorways over 60mph [ I'm 6ft 4in]

Fancy a change, would the RT be better for me?

they hold value well, my previous bike was a Triumph sprint, the one before
they brought out the sprint exec, and after 4 years all I could get was
£2,500 trade in on it down from £7,500, no crash damage

on the gs i am offered £4,500 [ inc extras and luggage] and this is after 5
    years ,

The problem was that triumph cut the price just after I bought it. Nice
bike, loved the triple engine, but again I took a lot of windblast over and
    inadaquate fairing and screen

    thanks -:)

I thought I was too, until that fucking pink abomination appeared in
the garage. **** knows how that happened.

  4. Only one way to find out. Get your local BMW dealer to let you take
their R1200RT demonstrator out for an extended test ride (i.e. a whole
    day).
