R1200GS's in The Mall?

Wonder who the dudes on yellow R1150Gs's were, escorting the Olympus flame
into the Mall just now? There were 6 or 7 of them as far as I could see.
Didn't look like coppers, but seemed to be in some sort of uniform, or
quasi-uniform.

 

I thought it was a police uniform. They looked somewhat more
comfortable than their colleagues who were doing a poor impression of a
formation jogging team.

 

Coppers on yellow BM big trailies - whatever next? We too were having a good
laugh at the jogging policemen, hoping the riders would gee up a bit more
and give them a bit more to pant about.

When they showed the NY section of the flame carrying there were yellow
R1150GS's escorting as well.

 

You don't mean... It's like the moon landings all over again. How can
we believe the Olympics will be held in Athens after this?
