R1100S

With the release of a picture of the 'new' K1200S

) which appears to feature the same slim-line shaft drive and other things
as the 1200GS, I wonder if there are any plans to update the rather old
R1100S?

I ask because it's about the only Beemer I'd actually currently consider
owning

Yes, there's a 1200S coming "for 2005" so, theoretically, late this year.

I was sad enough to buy MCN this morning, for the low-down on the K1200S.
The piece on p.5 mentioned the R1200S in passing as incorporating many
R1200GS elements and being due soon. That's all I can tell you.

If they can make it more powerful, but retain the seating position and
overall comfort then I would definitely consider one.

 

I have an R1100RS, but on the basis of the pictures and outline spec., I
*will want* a K1200S.
