No Darsy, Tony Blair is the new conservative (wiv a small c).
I didn't say I agreed with it FFS. We'd all have to get men out with red
    flags.

that's true, but there's definitely a "get back to the good old days"
feel to it, which is why I thing wanting to bring back capital
    punishment is conservative.
radical means "from the root", and was originally applied to people
who wanted to completely overthrow certain political and social
notions of their day. I'd still maintain that "radical" politics are
forward-thinking and innovative, rather than harking back to an
    outmoded system.
No we didn't, because years ago we recognised them for the
already-outdated barbaric notions that they were. The US has those
things - would you really say the US socio-judicial system was more
"radical" than that of the UK, or would it - perhaps - best be
described as being *much* more conservative to ours?
I haven't got an OED to hand, but (and note: this is not a spelling
flame) "Quisling" is listed by both Merriam Webster and
    Dictionary.com, so it's likely.

Seems like a fair argument, bit of a half empty or half full situ.
Ref. the above you could couch it either way and I suspect it depends on
which side of the fence one sits on?
By the by I think the Yanks CJ system is about the worst of both worlds.
They are prepared to execute people, not always the ones you might expect
and they accept that some of the recipients are innocent. Not good.
Erk, my **** up. Should have known better because I knew the root of the
    term. /www.mnc.net/norway/quisling.htm

  7. It really bloody does. Went for a quick bimble last night and as I
pulled up by Will at the lights, I thought "that ART can sounds
    great."

    So did Will.

I'm quoting Bear back at him. It's a brutal expose of his double
standards, you see. He purports to be tough on humbug, tough on the
causes of humbug, but can't walk the walk (if that's not mixing
    metaphors).

Is this a reference to Vidkun _Quisling_, (puppet head of state, Nazi
occupied Norway 1942-1945) or the bastard offspring of Carole Vorderman
    and Nicholas Parsons?

Hey what's this fucking Humbug stuff. I am a goddam miracle worker!

I just managed to disassemble the impossibly corroded calliper on Shane's
    ZZR400 without destroying it...as proof.
Designing a ferrous metal pad retaining pin in a blind hole through an
aluminium alloy block is about as fuckwitted an idea as I've ever seen.

I'll be expecting some quality time with his eldest daughter sometime soon.

can send you some pathetic emails without shame at my own incompetence.
