Quick drying of soaked kit

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by CaringColleague, Oct 5, 2006.

  1. My colleague at work travels a long distance to come to work on his
bike. Today, and from now on he will come in totally soaked and his
kits doesn't dry out on our little radiators.

What is the best solution? A dehumidifier in a large cupboard? A fan
heater? Is there anything he can wear that means he won't get soaked
through? He has proper heavy clothing but it still gets wet.

Any help or advice gratefully received

If he really does have 'proper' clothing for riding in the wet, it'll
stay dry on the inside, so why worry if it's wet on the outside?

He needs some proper heavy *waterproof* clothing. Failing that a simple
    set of waterproof overalls.

A fan heater in small ventilated space will do but it will work out cheaper
    to get a spare set.

A good set of waterproof is the answer. I have two sets of winter
waterproofs, gloves, boots and two helmets. While one set is drying I use
the other. Decent waterproof will keep him dry during the ride.

He's management, people should do exactly what he asks. Even if it's
