    Hi Gerry.

What I'd really like to know is why you chose to pick on the Flight Sim
    group.

Did you have any interest in FS or was it just a nice, relatively quiet,
successful group carrying on without too much bullshit and trolling?

I can well imagine a group like alt.us.military.will.save.the.free.world
being a valid target to you, but flight simmers......<shrug>

    regards,

The answer is complex and lengthy, Cam.

I've been tempted to explain things in here when this crap broke, but
I know that the moment I do that, these two dickheads will jump on it
and use it for another 200 messages of bullshit, hate, and
    obfuscation.

If you or anyone else is really interested, email me at
waltmitty@*REMOVE_THIS*live.com and I'll give you the background.

Pssst Cam... I think they just ran out of good old Coopers and got
    bored.

    JohnO

Stout? Coopers or Southwark - can get both :)

.....Oh..... <jealousy, jealousy> .... I wish you hadn't told me that.

Last trip down to Adelaide, I did enjoy some of the Southwark, but
didn't have room in the panniers to bring enough back even just to last
    the trip back. :-(

(Gawd help me, there is something to be said for large cars!)

But was it the proper Green Death or this "premium" rubbish?

    Bloodey 'ell, Zebee, I dunno.

I still feel like a foreigner in Adelaide, although I like the place.

I do remember that "proper" Sothwark Stout has a lovely chocolate after
taste, and something over 6% alcohol content.

Is that Green Death or "premium"?

    That's Stout.

Green Death is Southwark Bitter. A famous rite of passage.

    My Dear Lady,

Southwark Bitter, I have once, many years ago, tasted, and I'd rather
eat worms than drink that again.

Now, to be fair, I have heard of various rites of passage that were much
worse than eating worms or drinking Southwark bitter, but, fortunately,
I am well past the stage of worrying about rites of passage....... or
even mid-like crises, for that matter. :)

Given your clearly displayed bias, I don't think I'll bother, Cam.
No, what you seem to want is some story in which I am some kind of
ogre. My detractors will give you that. Be happy with the "truth" of
    those verisons, Cam.

Having seen your latest form, I'm done with you.

Gerry has turned into a fucking bank. First he broke up with C.B.A.
A.N.Z. and W.B.C. and now he's broken up with C.A.M.

So would we, mate, so would we.

I don't know why Gerry the liar took up residence in the FS group, but I can
tell you how it all started.

Someone in the group mentioned an American military parade accompanied by a
bit of American patriotism, Gerry the liar didn't like that, thought he
would put matters "right" from his perspective, went on a rant about
American foreign policy, and has been ranting for the past 18 months. I
don't know how many flame wars he has started, the latest he kicked off
today. All the evidence is there in the archives, But according to Gerry the
liar none of this is his fault.

What is it now, six or seven days of shit in this NG? You can see why the FS
group are a little miffed after enduring 18 months of Gerry the liars filth.

Oooer... I didn't really spot that embedded bit of "are you still
beating your wife" crap in your message, Cam. You really are stooping
    low this time.

So to now address you _actual_ question: I am NOT "picking on" _any_
newsgroup. Not the Flight Sim one, nor this one.

Nice try though... For a brief time there I thought you were actually
giving me a fair go for once. Should have know better. [sigh]

Were you present in MSFS when the shit started?

By the way, your effort today is admirable. Nice to see you
subscribe to the idea "why post one message when 14 will do."
It was wonderul, also, to read your unbiased, neutral, heart warming
    missives.

This is the classic Gerry the liar's get out! When he loses an argument, or
fails to give an honest answer, he plonks the poster, or says, "I'm done
with you", then later on, much later on. he jumps back in and carries on
with the conversation as if nothing has happened. He's done that twice with
    me now.

Then you must have forgotten that I was the target of abuse by several
members there before I ever became abusive towards my abusers in
return. Everything else is an escalation form that point in time.
    Usenet is like that.

You've also forgotten to mention that since then I have made several
overtures aimed at ending hostilities and that each of these has been
    studiously ignored.
That's what happens when you look with your eyes wide shut.
Yes, when you chose to take a partisan position about GWF, and based
on that dubious position, you were able to hop up on some moral high
ground from which to blow your bugle. Nice work. Very polished.
Couldn't have done better myself. Hooray.
