THREE motorcyclists and a bicycle rider have been killed in separate
accidents in a single horror day on southeast Queensland roads.

A motorcyclist died when they struck a tree on Andrew Rd at Greenbank just
    before 6pm today.

In earlier accidents, a motorcycle rider died on Mt Glorious Rd, Mt Glorious
about 12.30pm, while just an hour earlier a man in his 60s was killed after
losing control of his motorbike at a roundabout at Yatala on the Gold Coast.

    Be careful out there people.

and, as from next week children under 8 can not be
    carried as
Yeah, can't see the licence changes etc making much of a
difference - just like speed cameras haven't made any
    difference.
Since I've been riding I've been even more aware of some of
the stoopids in cars, but I have to say, there are still
plenty of stoopids on bikes too. Like today (in the car) I
was braking on approach to a red light, with a car already
stopped ahead of me. Bloke on a Harley in the left lane, as
I'm getting closer moves into the right lane in front of me
without any signals. Meant I had to push quite a lot harder
on the stop pedal to pull up without hitting him. Plenty of
cars do that in front of trucks, wouldn't really expect a
bike rider to do it in front of a car. I would have had
plenty of stopping distance behind the car ahead of me, but
it ended up I pulled up with only inches to spare behind his
    bike.
