Queens day and togtours

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Doesnotcompute, Apr 12, 2005.

  1. Right, it's coming round quickly and I know it's been mentioned here
before, so this is a last heads up really....

Queens Day weekend in Amsterdam - beer and debauchery in excess - is the
    29/30 and I guess 31 of April.

For those doing the Tog Tours, it's about 250 miles or circa two hours
at UKRM speeds, which means that leaving straight after breakfast on the
sunday, could result in the 'dam being reached by lunch and being
    utterly wasted by tea.

Hotel rooms are still available in a lot of hotels, but rates aren't
likely to be discounted - there's everything from fifty quid a night
gaffs to several hundred quid per night 5*'s.

    so who's up for either

    1) the whole/part weekend
    or
    2) going on from Tog Tours to do the Sunday afternoon/night?

Lovely... the record to date, is 65mpg. :)

Looks a bit nicer with the alloys (1) on it, too.

    (1) A set of the 15" five spoke Avus ones that were a factory option on
    these.

I'll be there until Sunday with a small van if any of you lot break
anything and need it bagging up and bringing home. Sailing on the
Scandinavian whatisname between Newcastle and Ijmuiden.

Being a sick puppy we've had to cancel Queen's Day plans.
Unsurprisingly I am even more unpleasant than usual this week. Seriously
    seriously hacked off.

Thats a pity, it was good :)

Will have to get a boat and sound system for next year and join in.

Didn't see them if they did but the Pro's had a boat on the go.

Saw one lady displaying her charms at the side of the street, if you
could get the Euro coin to land in between her tits you would get 2
Euro's back. Unfortunately you had to stand a certain distance away. I
was tempted to go back to the house and put some in the freezer.
