How weird is it to ride a quad bike after having driven nothing other than
    motorcycles for years? Very.

But its also a great laugh.

After the first half hour, whereby I learnt that you cant countersteeer on a
quad, that you lean away from corners rather than into them, that the left
handle is the brake and not the clutch and you have to yank the fuckers
round corners with no degree of subtlety, I had a great laugh!

I can highly recomend it if youve never had a go. We had a laugh over at
Taff Valley Quads in Wales, just outside Cardiff.

Your arms will hurt like **** the next day, and my right thumb is never
going to be quite the same again. I can understand why you have a thumb
throttle though.. youre holding on so tight youd be all over the place as
you went over bumps if you had a twist grip....

Verdict: Great laugh, and even better in the wet... the bikes slide far more
    :)

Agreed. Just try not to stick it into an electrified fence, like SWMBO
did in New Zealand... getting it stuck in the fence, so the 'leader' and
I had to man-handle it out of the fence, which was fun.
