There was a 250 exemption for 30+ year old two strokes.

No, but I have clearly demonstrated when you would need to change gear
without changing vector. I'm sure that you are capable of working out
how you could change vector without changing gear.

In short, MSM has nothing to do with changing gear. You *might* be
    changing gear, you might not.

ISTR the Sprint has them the other way, but ICBW. It's been a while.

Sorry, I should have used 'potentially' in there. But as I managed to
work out, there needs to be no link.

And there you have the best reason not to do it.

As others have pointed out, mid-90s Japanese cars tended to have them
the other way around. Certainly my '95 Civic did, which caused my
wife a few problems when she was learning to drive, switching between
a modern Corsa driving school car, and mine to practice.

Whatever that means I have no clue, but I've never had a single
quality issue with the one of which I have experience, my wife's
206cc. Had it from new - now six years and ~65000 km on without a
    single breakdown.

Couple of odd design features, like the fact that it's possible to
**** up the folding roof operation if you interrupt the power supply
half way through opening or closing, requiring manual intervention to
reset the system, but nothing that relates to build quality.

A ridiculous number of miles at slow speed too easy!
That would be amusing but I'm trying (not very hard admittedly) to get
rid of vehicles not expand the fleet.

Hmm. I did ride the Fantic from Dartford to Thame once. I'm not saying
it wasn't a pleasant experience, but I left it there & collected it a
couple of weeks later on the trailer. And that was 20+ years ago before
    I grew old & sensible!

With no time limit for completion of the journey, or is there one?
    <pats two 125s>
I could hire out a theoretically suitable machine. Well suitable in
respect of hare attributes. In my case, without radical changes to the
riding position I doubt I could even get to the channel without seizing
up (me not the engine) completely.
