decimated means both "to reduce by one tenth", and in more modern
    usage, "almost completely wipe out".

So you'd be wasting your time.

Which bit of "resists" and "needless" were you having trouble with?

Well, over that time, I've done both.
    Indeed.

We always tell customers we need 110 cfm and the only slugs I know of
are the ones you kill in the garden.

Just take a look around any tyre shop dealing with truck tyres.
They are the main users of rattle guns and this is the pressure at which
    they are designed to work.

I said in another post that I know **** all about pumping tyres up so
I accept that you might have to use 10 bar to do so but I suspect that
if this is the case then it's because their air receivers are limited
and the supply lines are no bigger than 1/2" bore.

It's a pointless argument because you claimed that 10 bar was needed
to work an impact gun and it simply isn't. I'm working at a power
station at the moment and you can be certain the fitters are using
impact guns every day to strip the turbines and the compressor is
running at 92 ps. How do I know it's 92? I put a gauge on it
    yesterday.

    Not quite :

a mole is a unit of substance equal to number of atoms as 12 grams of
carbon-12 or a small black furry critter

a slug is a unit of gravitational mass of approximately 32.174 pounds
or a small slimy thing that you find in your back yard.

.... and it worked! A lot more difficult of course, because of the
extra weight, but it was attached. I attached the cush drive to enable
me to rotate the shaft, and at first it made the same clonking noise.
I was sure the splines hadn't lined up so persevered with the turning
    .... "donk-donk-donk-donk-donk-donk-donk-KER-DONK-silence". Wahey!
Two small ratchet straps from MachineMart have calmed my nerves a lot.

So, the swinging-arm is in, properly, the exhaust system is
reattached, and I'm now onto the crash bars and shiny exhaust covers,
etc. Tomorrow, the wheel can go in, then rear end plastics can be
    reassembled.

    What fun.
