All being well sometime this spring I will have back on the road a
R65. It has languished in a shed since 1982.

What do I need to do to have the bike registered again, any original
    documents have disappeared.

    Thanks

  2. If you've got the original reg number, it's just a matter of filling out
    a form.

    You don't need to re-register - just get a duplicate V5. If a bike's
lost all its documents and it's never been registered on the DVLA'a
computer systems, then all the complicated re-registration procedures
kick in, but I think '82 is recent enough for it to be OK.

I've not tried it but I believe that, thanks to all the new-fangled
technology stuff, you can just go onto the DVLA web site and check these
    days.
