    Hi,

How stupid are they over at ITV?

For some reason (which they've tried to justify) ITV aren't showing episode
    2...

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7347911.stm

Seems to make no sense to me, not only their very poor reason in the first
place, but why not show it on another night, or even simply show it at any
other time they like and as long as they tell us we can record it (or Sky+).

Not seen Ep1 yet, but it might have been nice to look forward to episode 2.

    Idiots.

I've a good mind not to bother watching it at all and boycott it entirely.

Do you want anyone else in this conversation, or are you happy carrying
    on alone?

That stupid I rarely schedule ANY series for watching "live" anymore, I grab
it off a torrent site. Epi 2 is on torrentleech as are all the other 8
episodes right now, so I'd guess that it's on any other torrent site too.
    Ah well...

Other than Harry Hill's TV Burp, I don't think ITV make anything I ever
    watch, so it's a non-issue. Problem solved.

Don't expect a sensible reply. A google will take you to the Digital
Spy thread on this very subject. It even got discussed on Five Live
yesterday. The general concensus appeared to be that ITV were idiots
and should either have started a week earlier or scheduled a double
bill instead of running American Pie yet again.

Actually got 2 replies, one was a standard one it looks like they've email
to millions of people. I asked for clarification over the question I
actually asked and got a slightly different standard reply back.

I'm not alone it would seem.

Oh definitely not - I guess that as we are now into Day 3 since the
fans found out they've had quite a lot of emails. It sounded like the
same people were emailing them repeatedly demanding an actual answer
rather that "it's nine episodes and we only have eight weeks, buy the
    DVD".

It does seem to have generated quite a lot of publicity from googling
and episode 2 has become a top download - the DVD isn't out until June
and won't be out in the US until the autumn. There's even a
    petition....

It's quite amazing. I mean, it was pretty to look at but not much
    else.

    It's the principle though!

How dare someone tell me what I can't watch!

They put so much tosh on a saturday night on both ITV and BBC they clearly
don't have any idea what we like watching and then remove episodes on a
    whim. Clueless!

As I've not watched Episode 1 yet, I've a good mind to not bother and spend
my time watching decent programmes, e.g. Murphy's Law. I did like
Journeyman, but again some clueless advertising gimp decided that not enough
people watched it and pulled the plug halfway through the series and they
re-wrote the ending to finish it off.

I'm not arguing.. Considering the huge fuss they made about the show
in the first place, it looks pretty stupid.

Suppose I'm used to it through Ch4's cavalier treatment of various
shows; I couldn't imagine ITV being any better. Just be grateful there
wasn't the full 22 episode run.

You wouldn't be alone if you stopped watching - I suspect people are
going to download it from whereever instead. I probably won't watch
any more as it clashes with things I'd rather watch and the rerun on
    Sunday was really badly edited.

  16. Hmmm.... Anna Friel vs Euro 2008 .... let me think about the pros and cons
of this one for a moment.

Yup - decided - 23 blokes runing around a pitch kicking an inflated pigs
    bladder loses this time.

ITV didn't make it, they just spent a fortune on buying it and
    promoting it.
