Ha! The parent plane, The Mirage V was being developed to Israeli specs.
It got caught up in embagos so they went off on their own. The end
result was quite different, the engine change involved major design
changes and it had canard winglets a bit like the Saab Viggen
The Iranians could do with something, I think they are still floating 40
or 50 Phantom jets. They have bought a lot of good SAM systems though so
it'll be Cruise Missiles for starters although yank radar seeking
