Public "Thanks!" - Beav, Adie & The Pixies

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Wicked Uncle Nigel, Apr 20, 2008.

  1. *Finally* got round to picking up the Norton "tins"[1] from The Pixies.

    So:

    Many thanks to Adie for the transport; to the Pixies for the storage
    (and coffee), and last (but by no means least) to Beav for a Very Nice
    Paintjob Indeed.

    Top work fellah, I can't wait to get them back on and get the bike out
    on the road.

    [1] As I believe they call them on "American Chopper".

    Glad you liked 'em WUN. I thught they looked rather good myself.
    And I do a fair amount of "tins" for a Harley shop near me and the name's
    stuck. They were always known as "tinwork" or "tinbits" in my yoof and it's
    only recently they've been "renamed", probably because of "that" fucking
    programme.

    The removable metalwork on bike. Mudguards, tank, side panels etc. In other
    words, the "tin" bits, os as the septics call 'em, "tins".

    <memory jogged by thread>

    I just remembered I haven't stored my pixies properly. I blame the
    weather.
