Those of us who are not pikey, found it in the Guardian last week.

I am still awaiting a chart that shows where the money flows in from to
    match it up.
Just think, if we had not bailed out the banks, we could have given more
to social issues and the NHS.

Just think, if we hadn't bailed out the banks we'd now be in a
depression that'd make the 1930s look like a tea party.

Supposedly this was a worse depression in some ways. I don't see it.
The very wealthy were sorted out by the politicians they subtly control,
    make no mistake about it.
Some of their soldiers were sacrificed, well that always happens.

A labour party decided not to use a golden opportunity to slash the social
divide or legislate women onto the boards of the Banks but they did raise
vast amounts of taxpayer debt to feather bed the Institutions.

A very British type of Coup.

You don't think the fact that jock **** Brown sold a fuckload of the
British gold reserves for pennies had some bearing on the country's
    financial standing then?

Not really. It was pennies in the ocean of debt he has raised in your name
    now.

I don't think that's got anything remotely to do with it, actually.

Talking of depression, shame the bank didn't get bailed out by the US
treasury before I got sailed down the river ;-)
