Looking for a biker-friendly pub in the Lichfield/Tamworth area which does
    acceptable food/drink, accommodation, breakfast.

Anyone know of any? All recommendations welcome.

this place looks ok - part of a chain but not of the cheap & nasty
    variety http://www.vintageinn.co.uk/thehedgehoglichfield/
    Tripadvisor reviews look fine.

It has an innkeeperslodge next door which is the best of the lodge type
hotels IMV. I often use the one at Rowlands Castle near Portsmouth.

Doesn't have a sign outside saying "No motorcycles" like the wossname just
    outside Gloucester... on the river...
Proper cooking by a cook, not microwaved by a monkey. Real ale if poss.

Blimey, I thought such places were a myth.

The aptly named "Boycott Arms" just off the Bridgnorth road has had that
sign for as long as I've been riding - and it still applies to this day.
Every now and again someone tries pulling the race card and claims that it's
because they are black that they are not being served. The pub gaffer shows
them his scrapbook of newspaper cuttings and telling 'em it's because they
are riding a motorcycle. The last time he was in the local rag he said
"I've never served motorcyclists and I never will" Let's hope he's near to
quitting the pub game soon . . . . and all those like him.

Its his pub, and he can serve or not serve who he wants.

A lot of pubs say "No coahc parties", so what, they don't want your
service. ANd it is probably a shite pub anyway.

There is a nice little pub near Frodsham, that on exiting we noticed the
"No motorbikes" sign (we had been in the car), never been back since
because of it. His loss, not mine.
