    Hi All,

My next project is to make the old XT600 more comfortable during those 800
    kms in a day days.

Any help, or suggestions would be highly valued at this juncture.

Well *you're* the Aussie! You not got a sheepskin to drape across the seat
    yet????

Other than that, I'd question why you're sitting down so much. Get it off
the tarmac and you won't worry too much about the seat anyway.

I forgot to mention that my XT600 is a bog standard 2002 model.

Corbin probably make a seat for those. Some people love 'em, some hate
'em - I'm in the former camp with the one on my Tig.

Wider saddle which doesn't slide your nads into the tank buffer all the
time. Have a look at the BMW R1100GS setup.

    Flatter narrower bars.

    18" Road front wheel.

Thick foam handgrips will help you retain some circulation
and feel in the hands (actually the whole lower arm).

Handlebars that fit you, not the Yamaha design department.

The seat (on the 1990 model) could be improved but it
was a bit of a "project". What I did was to fill in the
seat pan until it was flat, there were some real stupid
edges and other irregularities. Then I replaced the bottom
45 mm of foam with camping mattress material.
