After fighting to get the scoot ready we made it to the Pod on Sunday. RWYB my arse! There were hundreds of Novas/Clio`s/Renaults for the boy racers day plus half of Sweden were there to test the Top Fueler`s/Funny Cars for this coming weekends Euro Finals. We got one run in on the Dwarf......that`s all we needed, it ran strong to just over the 1/8 mile then detonated and rolled over the 1/4 with a dead engine :-( Crank and main bearings are shot but we new it was a scrap engine (FFS £20) so it was a chassis proving run ;-) Complete stripdown revealed contaminated fuel but barrel/piston/head all in good condition so we`ll continue with the project and spend money on a new crank etc. as it`s such a crack to ride ) We took the Zip 50cc up for a paddock bike but decided to run it up the strip.......for a laugh (this is supposed to be restricted to 30mph;-) Standing start 1/4 mile. 1/8 mile 47mph. 1/4 mile 52mph.....ET 22 secs with a wheelie and a crap reaction time off the line ) and this is a soft tune-up ) Updates as and when. -- Petel . 02 M2 Buell.
