    Nah, he didn't like the R6 - I can't imagine him on an R1.

I quite liked the R1 I rode a while back, but it wasn't all that
    comfortable.

Trying to maintain your nick is a very noble thing to do, but really....

    This made me smile :

    "Belly pan
I forgot to mention yesterday the unfeasably large amount of crud that was
lying in the inside of the belly pan when I took it off. Now, a stock R1
lower fairing doesnt weigh very much being made of pretty flimsy thin
plastic, but mine felt like it weighed about 2 or 3 kg. It had about a 3/4
of an inch thick layer of solid black gunge all over the inside - years of
road grime, oil, lube, stones, twigs more lube and probably the odd hedgehog
    thrown in.

And I've got to clean it. Best buy some shares in GUNK."

I can see his point actually as the parts of the GSX-R fairing I can see
have a fair bit of crap on them from the scottoiler and things.

See, everybody? They _do_ make a mess of the bike.

Bruce mate, the site is updated regularly as the bloke works on the
bike. Curium is merely reporting that he's made some progress.

    Thank **** I've got BUPA.

It was posted here recently, by yourself. So if it was inteded for the
same thread then that is where it should be ergo a ginge as it purports to
    be a new item.

Well no, because curium clearly stated " ...is making progress for those
    of you who are interested"

Which implies a) an awareness that it was previously posted and b) that
curium thought we might like to be reminded.

Oh, right, in future will read every single link and refer back to
previous ones just to see if a minor update has been added.

    You can **** off.

Who says it shouldn't? He was posting to say there have been a few
updates and it's starting to get a bit more interesting. Nothing wrong
    with that in my book.

What makes posts with a URL in any different to posts without?

Yes it's tedious when people post the latest link to a "funny" animation
over and over but as a one off this kind of thing is acceptable.

And anyhow, *ginge* was a phrase coined to mean "keep up at the back",
and if anything this post was the reverse of that, informing us of some
new content and not just catching onto something weeks after everyone
    else had..

Anyhow, shouldn't you be off building a new datacentre or something?

This is on the _inside_ of the fairing Ace. No one can see that unless
    they're actually looking.

JP would. Anyway, I've been keeping mine spotless, and for me that
includes the inside of the fairing.

OR, you could just read the text, which said "...is making progress
for those of you who are interested" and think about what it might
    mean.

I haven't :) I've been riding it and then spraying it liberally with
    scottoiler FS365 spray.

I will assess the success came April when it gets a wash or sell it.
