You only five minutes from here, too ;0)

When it comes to stuff like this I am clueless, but we all have our part
to play in life's great opera, and Darsy's role is no bigger than anyone
    else's.

Lets put him in my car and send him out to sell helmets. I'll run the
sweepstake on how long it takes before one of my customers knocks him
senseless. Times will be alloted from 0 to 25 minutes, please bear in
mind that I live over an hour from my closest customer.

    Nice rattle.

Try putting SPOCE into Google and see how clueless you feel then. "Very"
    is my guess.

    GAF?

My rant stands though. It does help if there's a modicum of an
    explanation with a reply.

Whatever makes you happy. Me, if I see an acronym I don't know, I Google
for it. I get enough opportunities to look like an idiot as it is
    without adding to my woes.

Don't let the fact he asked you about your GPZ fool you.

I've never liked the sanctimonious twat.

He's good at what he does, but no-one has a clue what he does. Actually,
he's been ok on most of the occasions I've met him.

Yeah, but don't let him know I think that too, eh? Lets keep schtumm
about it. I'm also grateful to Darsy for pointing me at that website,
but I don't feel like thanking him today. I'm in **** mode again.

He's been less than ok on the occasions I've met him.

I don't know if that makes you lucky or not.

This has allegedly replaced "bounce" as a term for deactivating and
    reactivating a recalcitrant component.

    Can't quite see it myself...

I have no problem with ITIL properly implemented. Or even half-implemented
but attempting to adhere to the spirit of the thing, and using the standard
terminology instead of making it up as you go along.

Quelle surprise. I'm sure I've related this before, but back in the days
when I worked for DEC, we had a big BS5750/ISO9000/"Quality" thing going on.
A bunch of us were herded into a conf room for indoctrination. The
pretentious prick who was suposedly handing down this wisdom (apart from
showing up 10 minutes late) paced to and fro at the front of the room for
about 45 seconds, turned suddenly and waved his long skinny finger at my
mate Vince, and said "Define 'Quality'."

Quick as a flash, Vince replied, "Attribute."

Things went downhill from there. Which was nice.

    Oh come on!

OK, so I didn't google, but Darsy's hardly known for his caring, loving
attitude around here. If truth be known, I am grateful he posted that
because I was able to pass that on to my friend, once I'd found out wtf
it was about. A clue helps when dealing with a numpty in these matters.
