Damn Indian showed up.. He's sure regular, even when he's not feeling good.. Expectedly.. Elmer McKeegan had a pretty full plate, last night.. The fish fry was a success.. we've had a couple of better ones, but this one was high on the list.. Elmer got right into the latest update from our Chairman.. Sputnik sent out his report, late in the afternoon.. The Bills that we have in the Legislature are in committee and should be voted out, in the next few days.. Hopefully.. the breakfast meeting will put them over the top and we can pick up the support that is needed on the floor ..ABATE has done a good job of organizing that breakfast, many thanks to the efforts of brother Robert Fletcher..That is a "driving force" .. if ever there is such a thing.. Robert is everywhere and involved in anything that has to do with motorcyclists across the state.. Personally.. I took the Green Vulcan out for a spin.. Not very far to the VFW Hall on Smith St., but that old thing sure felt good, under me.. The world famous Loop 12 was a parking lot when I hit that sucker.. Contrary to all the safety conscious techies on this group, I rode the white line, all the way from Shady Grove Rd. to the Jefferson exit.. Damned if I didn't .. There were even a couple of police cruisers in the mix, when I passed them on that white line, they all seemed startled .. <chuckle> Since the traffic was packed bumper to bumper and almost standstill.. they couldn't do much but just look when I eased through .. One of them turned his lights on for just a second .. then.. maybe he thought better of it, because I saw them turn off, almost right away.. Chalk one up for the home team, guys.. There was only three of us showed up on our rides.. The rest were all caging it.. hmmm... Maybe that chill in the air had something to do with it.. Actually .. it was pretty nice.. leathers sure felt good and it was nice to get out for a while.. Now.. I'm looking forward to the Tarrant Chapter meeting next week.. Have a good one.. See you all there.. Your Friend in Irving Bill Walker
