    If anyone is interested

Ordered the ST 3 weeks ago Saturday. On the 'receipt' for my deposit:
2-3 weeks, will advise. Cos it was pretty much dependent on the insco.
They decided to pay up last Thursday, so I called Ongar as soon as I
    hung up from Highway.

Me:'That bike I want, would it be ready for first thing Saturday 7th'
    Ongar: 'Hang on, we'll check'
Ongar: 'Yep, no problem at all'
    Me: 'Lovely'

So I happened to be up round there today, and *something* was nagging
me. Because I really do have to be there 9am with SWMBO who will be
driving into the sunrise immediately, we decided to drop in a double check.

Ongar: 'Oh, can't do first thing, you can come in the afternoon'
    Me: 'No'
Ongar: 'Later in the morning then, cos we're really busy, it's bank holdiay'
    Me: 'No'

So they hadn't even started to fit the panniers, or clean it up. No
mention of the heated grips or higher screen.

So how long will I be waiting, how much will I get off the price and
    what bits won't get fitted?

There may be a prize if anyone gets all three right

Ffs, don't buy it from Ongar. Their reputation is terrible and they do
not have a trained technician working there any more. If you can, cancel
    the order.

You'll be lucky, you don't know the owner of Ongars. Tight is not the

Nah. I'm more on the heated grips and screen. I suspect the other bits
    may be right.

Nothing off the price but a service voucher or a discount on a service.
They won't be fitted and will do it at the first service.

Absolutely no-one on the t595.net forum rates them, quite the opposite
in fact. The guys who post there are all pretty fair people and will
give plenty of praise where deserved. Of all the Triumph dealers in the
UK, they seem to get the most bad press, and no good press at all.

I didn't know that. It's been about a year to eighteen months since they
did a service for me and that was no better or worse than anyone else.
    Well thanks for the tip.

Hate to make it worse for you, I saw I nice black ST in Wantage today.
Didn't get a chance for a close look before he rode off.

Cancel the order, put up with the Bandit a bit longer until you can get
one in the colour you -really- want?

I don't *really* want it in black. I don't think it looks that good in
    black.

No one was more surprised than me. Honestly, it looks great from the
