Poxy tomtom

Just got back from Portugal, and decided after getting lost several times,
that I would upgrade my maps.

Go online, pay the 75 euros and then it tells me that the stuff I've paid
for won't fit, so I have to select from the maps I've paid for, which ones I
can actually use.

I call that a bit deceptive.

 

Or buy a bigger capacity SD card? I thought I was pikey!

I was so glad coming back today that the bike was stuck in the workshop. I
have never in my life seen rain like that. It was like bullets and lots of
them. Pretty much all the way from The Algarve to my front door. Almost
scary, I'd say.

 

That's what I do on my Garmin. So old it takes CF cards, max 2GB. I can't
get all of Europe on one card so I spread it across 2 cards. Garmin's
Mapsource lets you write to the CF card directly. As I'm unlikely to be
visiting Iberia, Scandinavia & the Balkans on the same trip I've never had
to swap the cards during a trip.

Get a Garmin.

Valencia looks lovely from late morning on.
