Sticking. Apparently it's a common fault but not a big deal.

Took the GS for its MOT today - for the first time in 38 years of
biking I had a bike fail- Front brake light switch went kaput. It was
working on the way. Tester gave me 10 minutes fiddle time while he
went for a pee and a fag but i did not have a small enough torx to get
the switch off. Tester even lobbed me a tin of WD40 to spray it-no
    joy.

Got home , took it off to find some water and corrosion linking the
positive contact on the switch to the screw that held it in place.
Seems it was shorting to earth leaving the bulb on all the time.

Two seconds work and all was fine and back to the shop for my
    certificate.

Gutted I is at the demise of my 100% record

They were out last weekend round here (Welsh borders) and out in force
today. I went out with my 17yr old for the first time today, on his
CBR125 which was both pleasurable and terrifying in equal parts.

I just don't use it enough and the money could be used elsewhere.

I nearly collided with a bunch today. All bedecked in green bibs, about 20
of them on a mixed bag of bikes. I was dapping on a bit on the old A40
between Abergavenny & Raglan in the C2, using all of my side of the road to
negotiate a left hander at the top of a hill. I bet the 1st two riders shat
themselves as they were hugging the white line too, waiting for an overtake
opportunity. Piss poor road positioning & observation.

Do you mean those blokes who don't like getting their bikes furred and
fucked up over winter, or those who haven't ridden for a year or so (like
    Monz for example)?
I thought this was an all day every day thing with some riders.

Blather it with ACF 50 Andy. Apparently electrical connector "de-smegging"
was part of the design criteria. All my block connectors and whatever other
connectors I could reach were given the treatment and they've not been
defeated even by a jet washer.

Weston was full of them today, first decent sunshine of the year and
every bike in Brizzul pays us a slightly wobbly visit.
OTOH it might soon be a good time to start selling some bikes.

So they should get a hack bike and keep the nice bike for best instead
    of being so nesh ..
