I've just been checking on a few merkin sites. Power Commanders are $259.
They can do a deal for a PC and a K+N plus post for around $320. Even if I
get caught by Vat and Duty it's still only going to cost me around 200gbp.
That seems like a bargain to me?

I've been corresponding with a company in the US and they told me not to fit
a TRE because it causes a flat spot that cannot be ironed out. They reckon a
crazier first 4 gears and 5-7hp on top. It'd be interesting to see what it
makes with the PC, K+N and my new Micron race cans.

If it makes any difference for delivery, I am also after a PC for the
    Hayabusa?

They are gonna need a good setup though i reckon?

What's wrong with it? Is it snatchy? I have a Busa with PC fitted and
it fuels very nicely. The PC was fitted when I bought the bike so I
can't give a before and after verdict. Thinking back to a test ride I
had on a standard bike it suffered from a momentary delay when coming
off a closed throttle which was especially noticeable at slow speeds.
This isn't exactly conclusive, but I imagine the PC would help with
    this.
    Probably.

IIRC Andy bought his new off ebay for about £175 and not much more
    postage.

I agree. It's the quality of the setup engineer that determines how good the
    bike will be.

I was thinking about Lloyd Cooper but I understand there's one in Letchworth
    somewhere.

That's a good price, I'm keeping my eye out for one.

Basically, from what i feel & read, it's pegged back in the first few
gears & it can do so much more. Nothing to do with later models that
are speed limited. It does feel a bit 'snatchy' on reasoanble power
takeup, but I just want rid of the pegging back on load that they built
in due to the power output. It feels like over 5k revs it just gets a
bit pulled back, but over 5k in top it's a different thing. It's not
    gearing either.

It is without doubt the most insane motorcycle i have ever owned, but i
also want it to feel like it should. If the PC does nowat, it gets
sold! I'm not really a HP junkie, more flexibility if you know what I
    mean.

Get it on a dyno. The 150 quid it costs is a worthwhile investment.

Ahh right. Don't know if a PC fixes that or not TBH but a Tre should.
    http://www.hayabusazone.com/tre.html Haven't bothered myself - it seems
to go alright as it is. There again mine's had the gearing lowered so
that might make a difference along with the PC.
If you get a PC you'll need the right map too, or a dyno session, or
    both.

£150? I'll pay about a third of that and buy the **** some beer in the
    evening where mine goes.

Nope. It's because I'm not paying for adverts in bike magazines and
massive overheads on the blokes premises.

You're paying for his beer though and a dyno is still worth doing.

I pay £50 for up to an hour of dyno time plus and tuning needed. If
I've got anything to fit then he lets me fit it in his workshop in my
time and not his so the cash clock only starts ticking when it
matters. Having someone tell me what to do is as important as the
actual dyno run because even though I've worked on bikes for years the
injectors etc are alien to me.

The beer is incidental really because next time I go over Champ is
going to be there at the same time and he'll be needing to offer more
    beer bribes than me.

    following:
Yep. That's pretty much how I did it.
The bloke who did mine asked if I still wanted the popping and banging.
He said it'd give the bottom end a slightly crisper response if he took
it out but the whole point of buying the pipes, apart from the power
    increase, was the noise.
