Did a nice little 200 mile trip out to Possum Kingdom and back for a visit with a fellow riders Joe and Sunny. They were excellent hosts and the time just flew by while we visited. I was VERY happy to see Joe mending at a rate that would put Barry Allen to shame (obscure reference left as homework for the reader). I was able to drop off some reading material for both Joe and Sunny, so the panniers were a few metric tons lighter on the return trip. I also got a photo for the Roadkill Safari Rally (http://www.roadkillsafari.com). Afterwards I went back a different way than I took to get there. As always, Texas 4 was loads of fun. South of Palo Pinto has some great 50+ mph curves that someone mistakenly posted at 25 mph. :-) I was careful to late apex and ride to the vanishing point in case something unexpected was hidden around the blind corners. Powering the 131 rwhp out of the corners is still a smile-maker. By the time I got back near the metroplex, rush time traffic was mostly a fading memory so the inbound time was close to the same as the outbound time. The bad weather held off in spite of it looking troubled early in the morning. The clouds cleared up. The sun shown. The temps rose to about 85° while the RH was about the same. The dry line teasing us to our west will be a welcome addition tomorrow as it brings the humidity down to something a little more pleasent.
